Dollhouse Miniature Bakery: A Bird’s Eye View

Now that the sweets cases are beginning to fill up, I really wanted to show you a view of the bakery room box as a whole. It’s really coming right along! It’s tricky to take photos at eye level, because my camera doesn’t fit into the room, so here are some views from above, plus a couple from the vantage point of peeking in through windows and doors. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The empty cake case to the left of the ice cream freezer is what I’ll be working on next week, and the little rainbow-topped cake on top of the pastry case is one of the desserts that willย end up inย the cake case.

Here’s a peek through the front window, and imagine, once the room is done, lots of colorful sweets displayed in the window area itself.

Check back next week for pictures of the cake case as it gets filled, one yummy cake at a time!

  1. This is adorable and oh so colorful. That gelato case is amazing on its own, but it’s really making the whole bakery come alive. And that rainbow cake is perfect!

    1. Thanks, Susan! I had a moment of panic yesterday as I was planning which of the cakes on Pinterest I wanted to miniaturize for the cake case, and I realized that only a fraction of them would fit–NO! And then I remembered that I can fill the bay windows with cakes as well. WHEW. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. MO :O

    1. Aww, thank you, Rupa!! I have your ombre cake on my list of ones to make, too. ๐Ÿ™‚ xoxo

  3. Eeeeee!!!! My eyes got so big at the first photo and at the sugared rainbow on the cake! I love the through-the-window perspective — reminds me of certain childhood favorite books, and also of being a kid and gazing through bakery windows just wishing I could buy whatever I wanted ๐Ÿ™‚ (Probably that’s why I can’t resist a bakery now that I’m an adult!)

    1. hee hee I have very similar childhood memories–both books- and bakery-wise. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And the same inability to resist going into them now as an adult!
